HUNGER
In a wealthy nation like the United States, it is shameful that millions of Americans are facing hunger. They not
only include the disadvantaged poor among us, but also a growing number of hardworking people whose
earnings are not enough to pay their essential bills. They are forced to go without food for several meals, or even
days.
Globally, the one billion people facing chronic hunger go far beyond shamefulness. It is an outrage that our
human species can allow our own to whither with starvation in a world of plenty.
WORLDWIDE RELIEF
SAVE OUR CHILDREN
Our children are the most vulnerable members of our species. Without the protection of nurturing adults who
provide for their emotional and physical needs, they are subject to malnutrition, starvation, sicknesses,
homelessness, sexual and physical abuse, and forced to work (sometimes as child slaves) instead of going to
school.
There are several organizations that work with our disadvantaged and vulnerable children across the globe. The
